Position Overview
The Slot Attendant is a non-technical position expected to respond to all slot players’ needs promptly and efficiently, maintaining the highest service standards at all times.
Objective
The Slot Attendant provides exceptional customer service to customers, responsible for providing assistance to players, paying out jackpots, and reporting machine glitches. The Slot Attendant provides players with instructions regarding all slot games and communicates general information about the casino.
Primary Job Functions
1. Assist in any duties of a safety nature as requested by Ship’s Command, i.e. safety drills; port manning or gangway duties.
2. Create a friendly, comfortable and exciting atmosphere for all Guests and respond to their needs promptly.
3. Assist in the process of all hand paid jackpots and hopper fills according to established Global Gaming (GG) Operations policies and procedures.
4. Constantly observe and monitor the slot floor and assist with rectifying minor coin jams, hopper tilts and coin tilts.
5. Gain understanding and promote the Ocean Players Club and features offered by the player tracking system.
6. Recruit new slot players and promote the benefits and privileges of using their shipboard card in conjunction with the player tracking system.
7. Actively assist in slot related promotions.
8. Refer any dispute or argument concerning a Guest to the Casino Manager and / or Technical Manager.
9. Adhere to stated GG policies and procedures relating to security and key control.
10. Work cohesively with the Casino management, Supervisors, Technicians and Host as a team and work towards being independent with limited supervision.
11. Assist technical staff, when necessary, on port days.
12. Assist in special projects when requested by the Casino Executive Office.
Additional Responsibilities
1. Attend Casino Staff meetings as required.
2. Transfer to other vessels within Carnival Corporation, when deemed necessary by members of the Casino Executive Office.
